Ariane is the world leader in providing self-check-in and out solutions for the hotel industry with 3.000 installations. They enable Mobile and Kiosk self-service solutions, including all required hardware, consultancy and support for services that integrate to the hotels PMS, keycard system and secure card payment.

Ariane provides advanced and automated self-service solutions. Arriving and departing guests can quickly check-in/out using their own device; indoor/outdoor kiosks or keycard dispensers. Check-in/out is Safe, Simple and Secure; Staff Efficiency is Improved; Revenue is Increased by Reducing Cost and Enabling Upselling.

Contactless

A safe check-in and check-out is made possible with several contactless options available for kiosk and mobile.

  • Contactless pre-check-in and check-out by email and text message invite (queued room allocation and check-in based on ETA)
  • Contactless check-in using guest device when guest is already in hotel (real time room allocation and check-in)
  • Contactless key pickup from kiosk and keycard dispenser using QR code (new touch-free scenario - scan QR code and retrieve key with no screen interaction)
  • Contactless mobile and card present payment

Check-in

Arriving guests can complete their check-in on their mobile device and be alerted once the room is ready. Guests can check-in using an indoor or outdoor kiosk on arrival at the hotel. The check-in is fully automatic and ensures the safe capture of money for the hotel, an automatically encoded key to the room, and updated status in the hotel PMS.

Check-out

Check-out can also be completed at a self-service kiosk or using a mobile device. Guests can update their billing address, review their invoice, and pay any outstanding balance. Receipt and invoice can be printed or be sent by e-mail once the check-out is fully processed by the hotel PMS.

    Pros Significant reduction in payroll costs for the hotel as a 24 hour front desk is no longer required. The majority of guests prefer no contact self check-in, now especially important due to the Covid pandemicc. Guests also like not worrying about arriving late at the hotel - they can arrive any time (the previous hotel owners used to charge guests £25 for post midnight arrivals!!!!).
    Cons As this is a tech solution, there will always be bugs. However, I have developed a good working relationship with Ariane and should I need to raise a bug with their Support Team, they always resolve the issue promptly. This con is very much outweighed by the large annual savings made by having the kiosk in place. The kiosk paid for itself within 3 months due to the payroll savings and can be depreciated as a fixed asset (reducing corporation tax due!). Would like if it could sync with my Property Management software (Little Hotelier) though!

    Pros Quick and Easy to operate. Feedback from guests is positive. The fact that it is contactless is an added bonus especially now with Covid 19.
    Cons Support and follow up could be better. The system can be slow at times which is frustrating.

    Pros Check in automatique efficace et ludique pour le client, service technique réactif.
    Cons Interface simple et efficace, mais pas au goût du jour, dommage ! Une interface style menu smartphone, serait beaucoup plus dans l'air du temps. manque de fonctionnalité dû au verrouillage louvre hôtel.
