Simple pre-, during- and post-stay communication with our guests, since we have been using Customer Alliance, we generate significantly more ratings and answering from the tool is quick and easy. The pre-stay message is great for upselling additional services (restaurant reservations, parking, etc.).

It's a good idea. Emailing the guests is certainly the most personal way after check out. It tends to meet resistance from guests.
Very time consuming. But maybe this can't be minimized in a good customer relationship if you want to remain credible and personal.
